Packed New Poster for The Lego Movie

Warner Bros.' re-emergence on the animation scene is next year's The Lego Movie, directed by Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and 21 Jump Street's Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and today we got an action-packed new poster for it!

The busy new poster shows everyman Lego-man Emmet (Chris Pratt), flanked by a cast of characters including Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks), Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), Batman (Will Arnett), Green Lantern (Jonah Hill), Wonder Woman (Cobie Smulders), Superman (Channing Tatum), Uni-Kitty (Alison Brie), MetalBeard (Nick Offerman) and Spaceman Benny (Charlie Day). And that scary-looking big red guy chasing them is Will Ferrell's President Business; Liam Neeson is also a baddie, called Good/Bad Cop.

Animal Logic (Happy Feet) are handling the CG for the film, which is released on 7th February, 2014. Here's the synopsis:
The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.
Make sure to check out the great trailer we got for the film at the tail-end of last month too.

  1. I don't really know about this movie...it looks good, but it looks kind of bad. Seems like a generic story to me, with decent animation. For 2014, I'm honestly looking forward to other films besides this one. I'll go see it, but something about it just seems...off. Anyone else feel the same way?
