Sony is bringing us a new version of Spider-Man next year, with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, an animated feature film produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and (The LEGO Movie, 21 Jump Street). Peter Parker won't be the main character this time, as Miles Morales will don the mask of the friendly neighborhood superhero. Watch the sleek-looking teaser below.

Sony Animation just released a clip from The Emoji Movie, which is apparently the opening scene of the film. The scene includes a one-minute long tracking shot where Gene (the main character, voiced by T.J. Miller) introduces us to the many emoji people in Textopolis. Watch the clip below.

Sony is releasing The Emoji Movie later this year (28 July in the US and 4 August in the UK), and the first full trailer for it can be seen after the break. Fair warning: the jokes are predictable and not at a high standard, and it all seems like an attempt at remaking Wreck-It Ralph, The LEGO Movie and Inside Out, but without the heart that those three films had. Then again, it's just a trailer.

A New Trailer for 'Smurfs: The Lost Village' Has Landed

Sony has released a second trailer for the new Smurfs movie. This one is called Smurfs: The Lost Village and will be entirely CGI, unlike the two live-action hybrids we got in the last few years. Deadline reports that Sony hired T.J. Fixman to write the Popeye movie. Sony Picture Animation revealed three voice actors, the title of this new film, a synopsis and a first look at some of the characters.
