This sounds like an early April Fool's joke and yet it looks like it's really happening; Adam West and Burt Ward, (respectively the Batman and Robin of the 1966 TV Series) will lend their voices to the dynamic duo for an upcoming feature-length animated film. Consequence of Sound first relayed the following YouTube video, where you can hear Burt Ward spill the beans during a Batman panel this weekend.
The plan is to launch this 90-minute film in 2016, for the 50th Anniversary of the TV show. We can only assume this won't be a theatre release, but rather a direct-to-video one; and so it looks like we will have two new Batman films next year: Zack Snyder's serious-business Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the more campy animated version of the 1966 Batman TV Series.
