1966 Batman to Become an Animated Feature

This sounds like an early April Fool's joke and yet it looks like it's really happening; Adam West and Burt Ward, (respectively the Batman and Robin of the 1966 TV Series) will lend their voices to the dynamic duo for an upcoming feature-length animated film. More information and the video of the announcement below.

Consequence of Sound first relayed the following YouTube video, where you can hear Burt Ward spill the beans during a Batman panel this weekend.

The plan is to launch this 90-minute film in 2016, for the 50th Anniversary of the TV show. We can only assume this won't be a theatre release, but rather a direct-to-video one; and so it looks like we will have two new Batman films next year: Zack Snyder's serious-business Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the more campy animated version of the 1966 Batman TV Series.

Which Batman film are you more interested in?
