Song of the Sea already hit US stores on DVD and Blu-Ray, but the Tomm Moore film has yet to open theatrically in the United Kingdom. This long-awaited day is thankfully fast approaching, and Studio Canal UK decided to release a new poster (above) and trailer (after the break) to hype UK audiences. Enjoy.
Song of the Sea has received high praise from critics, including this very blog. It was nominated for an Academy Award, with Disney's Big Hero 6 ultimately running away with the prize.
It is a charming story told with stunningly beautiful visuals, so hopefully the Oscar nomination and the good buzz surrounding the movie will help it being a success when it opens in the UK, on the 10th July.
