Out of Comic-Con: Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Cobie Smulders Join The Lego Movie

Warner Bros.' Lego Movie just gets more exciting and fun-sounding by the day! Morgan Freeman is voicing Lego Gandalf; other great names like Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell and Liam Neeson are in there. One of the most interesting and fun notes, though, was that Arrested Development's Will Arnett is voicing Lego Batman; news out of Comic-Con is that some other big name stars are going to be helping him assemble a Lego Justice League in the film.

Warner Bros. have announced that Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, who both worked with directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller on 21 Jump Street, will be voicing Lego Superman and Lego Green Lantern respectively; Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother, The Avengers) will voice Lego Wonder Woman. That's certainly quite the cast assembling. And with a Lego Justice League coming together in 2014, and the studio's live-action Batman/Superman film in 2015, it certainly seems that WB are in full DC mode right now. Expect to see more comedy and less Nolaniness in The Lego Movie, though.

Apparently it was also teased that other Warner Bros. properties could be making "special cameos". I'd say, given those parameters, it's almost an inevitability that Lego Harry Potter will pop up in there somewhere; I wouldn't hold your breath for Lego Pacific Rim though...
