Illumination Entertainment Announces 'Sing 2'


The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Illumination Entertainment and Universal are so happy with the Sing critical and box-office success that a sequel is already planned. Sing 2 is scheduled for a 25 December, 2020 opening.

The Lord/Miller 'Spider-Man' Will Feature Miles Morales


It was heavily rumoured that the Spider-Man in the animated film produced by Chris Miller and Phil Lord would be Miles Morales, not Peter Parker. Sony has now confirmed it during a presentation in Los Angeles (and on twitter). Get the details below.

Watch: Here's A New Trailer for 'Tangled: Before Ever After'


Tangled: Before Ever After is both a TV Movie and a series. Both will air on Disney Channel later this year: the movie will launch the series based on the 2010 WDAS' classic Tangled. Both Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi will reprise their roles as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, respectively, while Alan Menken will write new songs. The main difference between the feature film and this TV version is the transition from CGI to traditional animation. Watch the new trailer below.

Watch: A New 'Cars 3' Sneak Peek


The new Cars 3 trailer is an extended version of the teaser Pixar released a few weeks ago. The first half is the same (dark and hopeless), while the rest of it is more action-packed, with a quick look at some of the different races we'll see in the film. Watch the sneak peek below.

The 6th A113Animation Awards Nominations


Welcome to the 6th edition of the A113Animation Awards! We've got a good one for you this year, considering the amount of amazing animated films that have been released in the past 12 months. 2016 is arguably the best year for animation since 2012, and the choices ahead of us are going to be quite tough.

The winners will be picked by me (Damien), while William (our Founder/Editor-in-Chief) and Munir (writer and WDAS specialist) will each choose their favourite movie of the year in the Staff Picks category; you, dear A113Animation readers, will also be allowed to award one of the trophies (The People's Favourite Animated Film Award) through the poll below.

The films eligible for an Award must have been released in the UK in 2016. The Winners will be announced on Saturday 14th January. Without further ado and in alphabetical order by film, here are the 6th A113Animation Awards Nominations:
