Review: 'Coco' is a Moving Journey into Mexican Culture


The winning team behind Toy Story 3 is back with Coco, more than 7 years after their previous film: Lee Unkrich (director) and Darla K. Anderson (producer) team up again, this time to bring us a story inspired by Mexican culture; one about Día de los Muertos.

Showtime: The First Teaser for 'Incredibles 2' is Online!


After two live action films, Brad Bird (The Iron Giant, Ratatouille) is back to his animation roots with Incredibles 2, the long awaited sequel to his 2004 superhero movie. Pixar just released a first teaser, mainly starring Jack-Jack Parr. Watch it below.

Watch: The Final 'Coco' Trailer Might Be the Best


Pixar latest film, Coco, will be out in the US in about two weeks, and has already opened (to pretty high praise) in Mexico. And now we have a final trailer, which may just be the best one fo this film. It looks wonderful, it's funny, but it can also be considered a bit spoilery. Watch: A First 'Coco' Clip and a Featurette


We're getting really close to the Mexican and US release of Coco, the latest film from Pixar. So it's not a surprise that the studio is pushing the promotion: not one, but two videos related to Coco were released today on the Disney/Pixar YouTube channel. You can watch them after the break.

Watch: A New 'Coco' Trailer is Out


It seems like it was announced decades ago, but the Pixar film based on the Mexican Day of the dead, Coco, is almost here. It will open in November in the US and a little bit later (erhm) in the UK, in January 2018. The film is directed by Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3) and co-directed by Adrian Molina.

Watch: a Trailer for 'Olaf's Frozen Adventure'


Initially, Olaf's Frozen Adventure was supposed to debut on ABC as a Christmas special, but it looks like the short will now be shown with Pixar's Coco when the film reaches US theaters on 22 November; you can watch a trailer for Olaf's Frozen Adventure below.

The first full trailer for Coco has arrived, just a few days before Pixar's other 2017 film, Cars 3, is released.

Watch: Here's the Third 'Cars 3' Trailer


Pixar's Cars 3 is arriving soon in theaters (16 June in thte Us and 14 July in the UK), and we've got another look at the new film in the Cars universe here, with a few familiar faces (Mater, Sally, etc…) showing up for the first time in one of the promotional videos for the movie. Watch: 'Dante's Lunch', a New Pixar Short set in the 'Coco' Universe


Usually, the shorts based on Pixar feature films arrive after the movie itself; but the Emeryville studio apparently decided to shake things up with Coco: a few months before the release of the Lee Unkrich film, Yahoo Movies got an exclusive short called Dante's Lunch, starring Dante, the hairless dog that appeared in the Coco teaser trailer. The 6th A113Animation Awards Nominations


Welcome to the 6th edition of the A113Animation Awards! We've got a good one for you this year, considering the amount of amazing animated films that have been released in the past 12 months. 2016 is arguably the best year for animation since 2012, and the choices ahead of us are going to be quite tough.

The winners will be picked by me (Damien), while William (our Founder/Editor-in-Chief) and Munir (writer and WDAS specialist) will each choose their favourite movie of the year in the Staff Picks category; you, dear A113Animation readers, will also be allowed to award one of the trophies (The People's Favourite Animated Film Award) through the poll below.

The films eligible for an Award must have been released in the UK in 2016. The Winners will be announced on Saturday 14th January. Without further ado and in alphabetical order by film, here are the 6th A113Animation Awards Nominations:
