Apologies for the infrequency of this feature as of late (and indeed that this week's is a day and a half late!), alas the non-animation world gets in the way occasionally. All the same, there were a few really exciting bits of news this week: casting rumours for another Marvel film (it's rarely a week we don't have some of that); are Pixar working on Cars 3?; cool new stills from DreamWorks' Mr. Peabody & Sherman; a fantastic new trailer for Frozen; we've also got features, reviews, and a Disney anniversary post; and we've launched an exciting Art of Turbo competition! For details on all that, and what you may have missed during last week, check out our (kinda) weekly recap below.

This Week on A113Animation (23rd - 29th September, 2013)
This has been a rather mammoth week for animation news. You can tell it's been a biggie, because where otherwise we'd get a piece of Ghibli news every couple of weeks, we've got three pieces this week! Sequel speculation, release dates, and more; we've got exciting new posters and stills from Frozen, Rio 2, The Tale of Princess Kaguya and Toy Story of Terror. Not to mention an awesome trailer for Disney's Frozen and a... not terrible trailer for Reel FX's Free Birds. All that exciting stuff, your latest Disney Retrospective and more, check out what happened this week on A113Animation.

This Week on A113Animation (16th - 22nd September, 2013)
Apologies that this is a day late, but we were recording our two-part (and thus rather long) Disney Renaissance podcast late yesterday, and frankly, if I looked at anything else animation related, I fear I may have imploded. Nonetheless, here's the recap of what was a very packed - if not all entirely cheery - week of animation news. Lots of Frozen stuff (you wouldn't have believed that a month ago), two hotly anticipated 2014 animation films pushed back to 2015, a spooky new trailer for Toy Story of Terror!, your usual features, some special editorials and a brand new interview/podcast all make this an exciting week! Check out what happened

This Week on A113Animation (9th - 15th September, 2013)
This week we got yet more clips and promos from upcoming, exciting projects like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.; we got exciting cast and crew details about upcoming films; we got some cool stuff from Disney's Frozen; and we got an absolutely marvellous new short film from those talented guys and gals at Moonbot! Add onto that a special instalment of Damien's Futurama column, Munir's weekly Disney Retrospective, and William's review of the new Little Mermaid Blu-ray, and there's a lot of good stuff to catch up on this week on A113Animation. Oh, and we've slightly updated our logo! Now with minions!

This Week on A113Animation (2nd - 8th August, 2013)
There wasn't an awful lot of news this week, but what news there was was pretty great - more exciting Star Wars rumours, Toy Story of Terror promotion, Marvel stuff, Disney stuff and more. In addition, we've got pretty exciting instalments of our features this week, with Munir's review of an underrated Disney classic and Damien's final Futurama mini-review. All that, and some John Lassetery goodness, is what you might have missed this week on A113Animation.

This Week on A113Animation (26th August - 1st September, 2013)
Now this is more like it. After a few quiet weeks, this week has been an absolute belter for animation news (although it's not all been good). Lots of casting news from Marvel, films announced and detailed from Warner Bros. and Disney, and a fun new clip from Cloudy 2; but, on the flip side, we've got directorial removals, a potential-packed animation director leaving Disney, and a whopping great retirement at the very end of the week. As usual, we've got your latest Disney Retrospective and Futurama, A Swan Song, and we've also get the big D23/Despicable Me 2 episode of the A113Animation Podcast! So for all that, and to catch up on what you might have missed in the past 7 days, check out our weekly recap below.

This Week on A113Animation (19th - 25th August, 2013)
Again a rather a quiet week, but with some really interesting gems of animation news tucked in there. We've heard a lot of exciting details about two upcoming Disney films that the studio hasn't even announced yet; one of Hayao Miyazaki's earliest films might be about to get a sequel; we've got yet more Marvel rumours (as well as a channel for the UK broadcast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.); posters, subtitles and your latest features! Check out below all that you may have missed this week on A113Animation.

This Week on A113Animation (12th - 18th August, 2013)
This has been a pretty quiet week for animation news - particularly when compared to last week's D23-packed greatness. Nonetheless, we got a few interested titbits - the expected, almost weekly, Marvel casting rumours, some Disney Blu-ray news and more. Your usual features are here again, as is a new Ghibli, war and more-themed editorial by Mayra. Check out your recap of everything animation-related that went down this week on A113Animation, below.

This Week on A113Animation (5th - 11th August, 2013)
Now I was actually away this week (until yesterday, that is), so firstly I want to extend a big thank you to the rest of the A113Animation superteam for keeping things running like clockwork in my absence! That said, it was a poor choice of weeks for me to take a holiday, because this has been a very interesting week for animation fans. Trailers for The Muppets and Thor, a clip from Frozen, Benedict Cumberbatch stuff, and all the goodness from D23! Add onto that your usual features and Nadine's review of Planes, and it's been a good week.

Sunday, 28 July 2013
This Week on A113Animation (22nd - 28th July, 2013)
This has been a rather slow week for news over here at A113Animation, particularly after the trailer-iness and Comic-Con-ly goodness of recent weeks. That said, we did get a few really cool teaser posters for some of the upcoming films that have us most excited, and a little bit of Star Wars news and Pixar stuff. We've also got your latest features and another new editorial about Toy Story director John Lasseter. Check out the rather slim breakdown of the past seven days below.

This Week on A113Animation (15th - 21st July, 2013)
Given that it's Comic-Con week, it's no surprise that there's been a lot of Marvel news this week, and we've got everything from casting rumours and posters to official titles and cast chats. Don't be expecting lots of stuff from Disney's other subsidiaries though, the Mouse House has largely withdrawn from Comic-Con in recent years, to announce big things at its own D23 Expo (next month). This week has brought some interesting articles, clips and a teaser though. As well as that and your latest features, we've got two editorial lists for you to check out too! Make sure you catch up on everything you might've missed in the past week below.

This Week on A113Animation (8th - 14th July, 2013)
This was a pretty mammoth week for animation news. Disney managed to both enrage and delight us, with some irritating release dates and remake news vs. exciting trailers and intriguing plot details; there were a few magnificent trailers, some intense posters, a crackpot theory and more! We've also got your latest Disney Retrospective and Futurama, A Swan Song columns, and a review of Pixar's Monsters University! Check out links to the past seven days of A113Animation shakings and happenings below.

This Week on A113Animation (1st - 7th July, 2013)
This was a jam-packed week for animation fans, not least because we got 4 brand spanking new trailers on the same day. And that was just by Tuesday! We've also got box office updates, interviews, posters and set pictures. As well as your usual features, we've also got a review of Illumination Entertainment's Despicable Me 2 and an editorial about the current state of Pixar. Check out links and summaries for all of that below.

This Week on A113Animation (24th - 30th June, 2013)
While news wasn't particularly heavy this week, we did have a lot of cool blog content for you. As well as the 24th week of Munir's Disney Retrospective, we had the 2nd week of Damien's final Futurama countdown; Mayra reviewed My Neighbor Totoro on Blu-ray; I posted an list of 5 animated sequels that should get made; not to mention that episode 2 of the A113Animation Podcast finally came online. That, in addition to a trailer, some clips and featurettes, more release date news and some good ole Pixar stuff, mean this was still a pretty fun week here on A113Animation.

This Week on A113Animation (17th - 23rd June, 2013)
This week has brought some cool stuff. Pun intended. Disney finally thawed the ice on Frozen, their winter animated release by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, releasing some new stills and the first trailer for the film. We also got trailers for The Lego Movie and Free Birds. As well as some Marvel news, Pixar's Monsters University opened this week, so there's unsurprisingly some posts about that. For all that, your usual features (and a new one) and more, check out our weekly recap below.

This Week on A113Animation (10th - 16th June 2013)
Here we are, another week, another batch of animation news. Apologies for forgetting about last week's, but we've got a lot more this week to tide you over. We've got your usual fix of inexorable hordes of Monsters University clips, as well as the first reviews for the film, some heroes and Muppets thrown in, and a little bit about a budding animation war. Check out that, and more, here!

This Week on A113Animation (27th May - 2nd June 2013)
As you can tell from below, this week has been jam-packed with Monsters University clips, promos and even a new trailer; with about three weeks until the film hits the States, anticipation levels are rising quickly! We've also got Disney news out the wazoo, posters, stupid straight-to-DVD films, your weekly features and more! Check it all out after the jump.
