The New 'LEGO Batman Movie' Trailer DOESN'T GIVE YOU SEATBELTS

This is the latest one in the ever-growing list of Comic Con trailers. The LEGO Batman Movie gets a new trailer, revealing Robin (voiced by Michael Cera). The film, directed by Chris McKay, is out in February 2017; and judging by this trailer (and the previous ones) it should be hilarious. Check out the new trailer below.

The San Diego Comic-Con just debuted, and DreamWorks kicked off the big panels with a Trolls presentation. And while we can't see the whole thing, DreamWorks was kind enough to release a clip from the upcoming movie online. Watch it below.

'The Killing Joke' to Become an Animated Film

DC announced a few upcoming animated films at the San Diego Comic Con this past week-end: Batman: Bad Blood (featuring Batwoman), Justice League Vs. Titans; and last but not least, an adaptation of one of the most popular Batman comic books: The Killing Joke.

Avengers: Age of Ultron Comic-Con Teaser!

I've been careful to use the words 'Comic-Con teaser', because what we are presenting to you has absolutely no footage from the next Avengers film. However it's still an extremely exciting little video.

Like I said, nothing really happens, apart from seeing Ultron's steely helm form from Iron Man's, whilst lines from the heroic team are played back from the first film.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is again directed by Joss Whedon, and due out for 1st May, 2015.

This Week on A113Animation (15th - 21st July, 2013)

Given that it's Comic-Con week, it's no surprise that there's been a lot of Marvel news this week, and we've got everything from casting rumours and posters to official titles and cast chats. Don't be expecting lots of stuff from Disney's other subsidiaries though, the Mouse House has largely withdrawn from Comic-Con in recent years, to announce big things at its own D23 Expo (next month). This week has brought some interesting articles, clips and a teaser though. As well as that and your latest features, we've got two editorial lists for you to check out too! Guardians Of The Galaxy: Comic-Con 2013

Guardians Of The Galaxy director James Gunn is fitting in to the Marvel family well, being extremely kind by teasing Comic Con audiences with footage - even though the film isn't that far into filming - as well as assembling the cast for the event.

The Avengers 2 Subtitle Revealed... And Villain?

Avengers director Joss Whedon took to the stage for Marvel's Comic-Con panel and told audiences, “I actually don’t have much to say, but I do have something to show you.” What a tease.

A small teaser for The Avengers 2 played, including the official title card for the film: Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Out of Comic-Con: Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Cobie Smulders Join The Lego Movie

Warner Bros.' Lego Movie just gets more exciting and fun-sounding by the day! Morgan Freeman is voicing Lego Gandalf; other great names like Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell and Liam Neeson are in there. One of the most interesting and fun notes, though, was that Arrested Development's Will Arnett is voicing Lego Batman; news out of Comic-Con is that some other big name stars are going to be helping him assemble a Lego Justice League in the film.

Limited Edition Comic-Con How to Train Your Dragon 2 Print by Drew Struzan

Legendary movie poster artist Drew Struzan has made a limited edition print for DreamWorks' How to Train Your Dragon 2 for lucky Comic-Con attendees. Director Dean DeBlois took to Vine to record a little message introducing the beautiful thing. Check it out below.

Comic-Con Roundup: DreamWorks, Phineas and Ferb, Wreck-It Ralph, Frankenweenie and Marvel!

Wow, Comic-Con really is the place to be this time of year. Yesterday, out of the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con convention, we got some huge news, some enlightening panels and some exciting looks at the latest films and projects coming out of DreamWorks and Disney - and their subsidiary, Marvel.

Disney at Comic-Con - Wreck-It Ralph News

The 2012 San Diego Comic-Con is well underway and as well as supposedly awesome fist looks at Oz: The Great and the  Powerful and Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger, and more from Tim Burton's Frankenweenie, the Disney panel brought some great news and peaks at their latest animated feature, Wreck-It Ralph. Check it all out after the jump break!

Comic-Gone

Disney, Pixar and all other subsidiaries and affiliates will not be appearing at this year's Comic-Con. Instead, the companies major announcements will be made at this year's D23 expo.

D23, "the ultimate Disney fan event", is scheduled to take place in Anaheim, California, running from August 19 to 21, 2011. Major announcements from Disney, Pixar and Marvel will be made at Disney's own event, therefore they have opted out of this year's Comic-Con.

A floor schedule was recently released for the event, highlights of which (concerning Disney and Pixar animation, as well as Marvel) are below:


Saturday, August 20:

• The Walt Disney Studios —11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  A fascinating behind-the-scenes glimpse at the exciting roster of projects on the horizon at The Walt Disney Studios. From exclusive video clips and live performances to filmmaker discussions and star appearances, this session will be hosted by Rich Ross, chairman, The Walt Disney Studios; Sean Bailey, president, Production, The Walt Disney Studios; John Lasseter, chief creative officer, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios; and Kevin Feige, president, Production, Marvel Studios.
  
• The Lion King 3D Exclusive D23 Screening—6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  Disney fans will have access to an exclusive advance screening of The Lion King in Disney Digital 3D™, ahead of the film's highly anticipated theatrical and home entertainment releases. "The Circle of Life" takes on a new dimension as Simba, Mufasa, Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa grace the screen once again, this time in breathtaking 3D.

Sunday, August 21:

• Marvel Comics —10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  An exclusive and unprecedented experience that will take you through the evolution of Marvel from its first comic book in 1939 to its current position as one of the most important creative forces in the world. During this presentation, which will include interactive Q&A segments, you will not only get an inside glimpse of the history of Marvel and its iconic Super Heroes but also discover why Marvel truly is the House of Ideas. This session will be hosted by Joe Quesada, Marvel's chief creative officer and one of the most respected and sought after writers and artists in the entertainment industry.

The event promises to be amazing, highlights will surely be getting a glimpse at Disney and Pixar's upcoming animation slate (including the unknown 2013 Pixar project and Disney's Wreck-It Ralph), as well as an exclusive screening of the 3D conversion of The Lion King.
