DC announced a few upcoming animated films at the San Diego Comic Con this past week-end: Batman: Bad Blood (featuring Batwoman), Justice League Vs. Titans; and last but not least, an adaptation of one of the most popular Batman comic books: The Killing Joke.
This 1988 graphic novel, written by Alan Moore and drawn by Brian Bolland, provides an origin story for the Joker.
Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series) will direct the animated film, which will feature an original 15-minute prologue. Hopefully Mark Hamill will return to voice the Clown Prince of Crime in the feature, as he expressed interest for this particular story a few years ago on twitter:
I'd come back for THAT! Spread the word! Campaign for #TheKillingJoke!! RT: @Cha_Luz #DC lets see #TheKillingJoke Mark said hed voice Joker

The Killing Joke, Batman: Bad Blood and Justice League Vs. Titans will be released in 2016.
