Review: DreamWork's 'Trolls' is a Flawed But Charming Movie


Trolls is DreamWorks Animation's CGI take on the troll dolls (aka good luck trolls), a toy brand created in 1959. Trolls made brief appearances in the Toy Story movies, but here they are given their own musical, with Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake starring, and Mike Mitchell (Shrek Forever After) and Walt Dohrn directing. The San Diego Comic-Con just debuted, and DreamWorks kicked off the big panels with a Trolls presentation. And while we can't see the whole thing, DreamWorks was kind enough to release a clip from the upcoming movie online. Watch it below.

We know it's not saying much, given how poorly the first teaser for DreamWorks's Trolls was received, but this new trailer definitely looks more interesting. DreamWorks Animation revealed via twitter a bunch of voice actors for their upcoming musical, Trolls, a film based on the world-famous troll dolls. Anna Kendrick (above picture) had already been announced in the cast, but a lot more were announced today. Discover who they are and their characters after the break.

DreamWorks Bits: New Turbo Poster and Trolls Director Announced


DreamWorks have had quite the success with their first feature film of 2013; The Croods has currently raked in upwards of $563 million. They'll be hoping for a repeat of that with their summer release, the Ryan Reynolds-starring escargot-adventure, Turbo. Today the studio rolled out another new poster for the film.

Two New Blue Sky Films Due in 2016 and 2017


Box Office Mojo reports that Fox have slotted in two new Blue Sky Studios films for release on 15th July, 2016 and 7th April, 2017 respectively. The 2016 film is called Anubis, and the 2017 one (which is being directed by Rio's Carlos Saldanha) is called Ferdinand.
