Watch: A Clip and Intro from 'The Lion Guard'


Disney's The Lion King characters are coming back with a new television movie and its companion show. The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar (the TV Movie) is premiering this November on Disney Channel, while the series, simply titled The Lion Guard, will debut in early 2016 on Disney Channels around the globe. Get a first look below.

This is a clip from The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar. It features Kion (the son of Simba and Nala and the main character of the movie), hyenas and Bunga the honey badger. 


There's also this section of what appears to be the opening song of the TV show. This video premiered on Entertainment Weekly.


Additionally, here are the names of new and returning voice actors for The Lion Guard, according to Disney: 
James Earl Jones and Ernie Sabella reprise their roles from "The Lion King" as Mufasa and Pumbaa, respectively, alongside Rob Lowe ("The Grinder") as Simba and Gabrielle Union ("Being Mary Jane") as Nala. Max Charles ("The Strain") stars as Kion. The voice cast also includes Joshua Rush ("The Adventures of Puss in Boots") as Kion's best friend Bunga, a fearless honey badger; Atticus Shaffer ("The Middle") as Ono, an intellectual egret; Diamond White ("Sofia the First") as Fuli, a confident cheetah; and Dusan Brown ("Blaze and the Monster Machines") as Beshte, a friendly and good-spirited hippo.
