Watch: Dory Sleep-swims in the First 'Finding Dory' Teaser

Ellen DeGeneres debuted the first teaser of the long awaited sequel to Finding Nemo on her show today. And while the original film was released more than 12 years ago, when you look at this teaser it feels like it was just yesterday. Watch it below.

Judging by these first images, the Finding Dory crew managed to capture the essence of Finding Nemo perfectly. Sure, the lighting and effects look better, but the general tone and the characters are just how they should be. That Thomas Newman score doesn't hurt, either.
Albert Brooks and Ellen Degeneres are back as Marlin and Dory respectively; Alexander Gould has been replaced by Hayden Rolence as Nemo, but it's hard to tell it's not the same voice.

With Andrew Stanton back in the director chair, Finding Dory will hit theaters on the 17th June (US) / 29th July, 2016.
