Kung Fu Panda 2 DVD Trailer

DreamWorks today unveiled the trailer for the DVD release of Kung Fu Panda 2. As followers of the blog will know, I absolutely loved Kung Fu Panda 2, it was fantastic and my review reflected how much I loved it. However, I am not a fan of the DVD trailer.

The trailer seems to describe an entirely different film to the actual one, seemingly closer to what Kung Fu Panda 3 will be about. Not to mention that the content of the trailer, as well as not focusing on Lord Shen, pretty much ruins the end of the film.

Very peculiar advertising by DreamWorks indeed.

The Art of Kung Fu Panda 2 Review - A Masterful Menagerie of Martial Arts Art

Firstly, I'd like to thank the kind folk over at Titan books for the complimentary review copy of this utterly stunning book. Those of you that read my review of the film on which The Art of Kung Fu Panda 2 is based, Kung Fu Panda 2, will know that I wasn't really expecting a lot from the film, as DreamWorks are notoriously not great with sequels. However, DreamWorks have really stepped it up in the past couple of years and I was happy to be proved wrong by the utterly awesome Kung Fu Panda 2. But, one thing that I could never doubt about Kung Fu Panda 2, was how gorgeous it was; the animation in the film was stunning, ergo, the artwork would surely be breathtaking. And it is.

Kung Fu Panda 2 Clips

By now you should have heard the hype about Kung Fu Panda 2, it really is awesome. As those of you that have read my review will know, I deem DreamWorks' latest effort even better than the original, it is utterly brilliant. However, if you're on the fence about whether or not to see it, DreamWorks is hoping to sway you into going with a plethora of great clips. We have the above clip, an extract from the brilliant and detailed end-credit sequence, and the below one, one of the many hilarious moments in the film.



These clips are a mere fragment of the brilliance that is Kung Fu Panda 2, you can check more out on DreamWorks' YouTube page, however, to fully appreciate it, you really do have to go and see it.

Picture of the Day: "Ninjutsu VS Kung Fu" Part 5

Today, we have an awesome picture, courtesy of uber-talented artist Andry “Shango” Rajoelina's blog. We showed you some of his work earlier this year, but I absolutely love this one, pitting Ninjitsu against Kung Fu, as we get a mash-up of Michelangelo, from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Po, from Kung Fu Panda.

It's awesome, I love it and would you encourage you all to follow Andry's work.

Kung Fu Panda 2 Review - It's Awesome (Pun Intended)

Kung Fu Panda 2 is the latest film from DreamWorks Animation, a company that notoriously doesn’t have a great track record with sequels, Shrek 3 was abysmal, Shrek 4 was decent enough, Madagascar 2 was passable; Shrek 2 was the only great DreamWorks sequel however, at least until now. Fortunately, DreamWorks now have another great sequel on their hands, Kung Fu Panda 1 was brilliant, hilarious, gorgeous and touching, one of the few DreamWorks films that could live up to the Pixar standard, and in my humble opinion, Kung Fu Panda 2 is even better.

International Poster A-thon

We've been treated to a whole new smorgasbord of international posters for 2 of the animated sequels coming up this year. Firstly we have the above poster, which is the newest French poster for DreamWorks' upcoming Kung Fu Panda 2 (which is personally my favourite poster for it so far) and is a very bright and appealing one.

Secondly, below you'll find 3 of my favourite new Russian Cars 2 posters (you can view all 7 of them at Daily Blam), they are also amongst my favourite posters for the film and are all just great, while the other 4 are also okay, these are my favourites.

Kung Fu Panda 2, "We Will Wok You"

A new video has made its way on to DreamWorks' official YouTube page, another teaser trailer for their upcoming animated sequel, Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom. Whilst, it's certainly entertaining and you can't help but smile at - pardon the pun- the awesomeness. However, this is the type of advertising that many anti-DreamWorks people use against them, focusing on stupid jokes, pop culture jokes and rock music, rather than advertising any genuinely good aspects of the film.

Kung Fu Panda 1 was great, but DreamWorks don't have a great track record with sequels. I guess only time will tell.

Kung Fu Panda 2, New Teaser Trailer

Another teaser trailer for DreamWorks' upcoming film, Kung Fu Panda 2, made its way online today. Whilst shorter than the previous trailer, and whilst it shows nothing particularly new or detailed about the film, it looks - pardon the pun - awesome. :D

I'm sure you're aware by this point that DreamWorks are making yet another sequel, Kung Fu Panda 2 is out next year and this past week the first trailer made its way online.
Whilst the trailer reveals nothing new, it's good to see Po back, even if it is just 2 years after the first film.
