Watch: the First 'Ratchet & Clank' Trailer

Ratchet & Clank - the famous video game series from Insomniac Games - is getting a movie next year and iTunes got the first real trailer for the CG film (click on the link to watch it). Ratchet & Clank was originally supposed to hit the big screen this year, but it got postponed to the 29th April, 2016 in the US; there's no official date for the UK yet.

'Ratchet & Clank' Gets an Impressive Voice Cast

IGN has some casting news regarding the Ratchet & Clank movie. The CG movie based on the popular video game franchise of the same name will premiere in Cannes (where the Film Festival opened today) in the next few days, but will only be released next year. 2015 in Animation: A Preview

As 2014 is closing as one of the most solid years for animation in recent memory, let's take a look at what lies ahead in the new year. Bear in mind that this list is just for mainstream animated films, as the independent and foreign fare get announced on the fly. Also, this list only includes fully animated films, so hybrids like Monster Trucks and Pixels are not included.  Here's the list of the animated films that are coming with some observations and (just for fun) an estimated Rotten Tomatoes score:

Variety reports that Rainmaker Entertainment, who most recently released the critically panned Escape from Planet Earth, are making a feature length animated film out of the popular PlayStation sci-fi platformer game series, Ratchet & Clank!
