'Ratchet & Clank' Gets an Impressive Voice Cast

IGN has some casting news regarding the Ratchet & Clank movie. The CG movie based on the popular video game franchise of the same name will premiere in Cannes (where the Film Festival opened today) in the next few days, but will only be released next year. See which big names joined the voice cast after the break.

First, fans of the PlayStation saga will be glad to know the actors who lent their voices in the video games will reprise their roles. They are: James Arnold Taylor (Ratchet), David Kaye (Clank), Armin Shimerman (Nefarious) and Jim Ward (Captain Qwark).
They will be joined by a bunch of Hollywood stars, who will voice new characters in the Ratchet & Clank universe: Paul Giamatti (Chairman Drek), John Goodman (Grimroth), Bella Thorne (Cora), Rosario Dawson (Elaris) and Sylvester Stallone (Victor).

According to Ted Price, the founder of Insomniac Games (the company where the Ratchet & Clank games were made), the film will honour the spirit of the source material:
Everyone at Insomniac is thrilled that Ratchet & Clank will be shared in cinemas around the world with new and longtime fans alike. It's been particularly exciting to collaborate closely with PlayStation, Rainmaker and Blockade on character design, story, animation, game asset sharing and marketing support to ensure an authentic Ratchet & Clank intergalactic adventure.
Kevin Munroe (the tolerable TMNT movie) will direct; Jericca Cleland will co-direct. TJ Fixman, who already wrote for the video game series, penned the screenplay.
