The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Rosario Dawson will join the vocal cast of The LEGO Batman Movie, where she will play Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Gotham's police commissioner James Gordon. Barbara ultimately becomes Batgirl and fights crime alongside Batman.

Dawson is joining Will Arnett who will reprise the role of the caped crusader after his memorable performance in The LEGO Movie, Michael Cera (as Robin) and Zach Galifianakis (as the Joker).
The LEGO Batman Movie is directed by Chris McKay set to open on the 10th February, 2017.
