Watch: A Teaser for Tonko House's 'Moom'

The team behind The Dam Keeper (who was nominated for a Best Animated Short Film Academy Award last year) is back with a new short. This time it's Moom, which is based on a Japanese book by Genki Kawamura and Yuki Mashiko. Former Pixar artists Dice Tsutsumi and Robert Kondo developed the film at Tonko House, their own animation studio; and it looks beautiful. Watch the teaser below.

The CG world of Moom is certainly different from the more stylistic approach The Dam Keeper had, but the delicateness and sincerity of the first Tsutsumi/Kondo short remain.

While the 13-minute-long Moom is about to be screened at the Cinequest Film Festival of San Jose (5th March), Tonko House is working on a feature-length adaptation of The Dam Keeper.
