Adventure Time Is Heading to the Big Screen
Deadline reports that the popular Cartoon Network TV show Adventure Time is getting its own feature film. The film will be developed by Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network Studios.
Adventure Time follows Finn (voiced by Jeremy Shada) and Jake (John DiMaggio), a human boy and his best friend/adoptive brother/dog with magical powers, through all sorts of adventures in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. The show was created in 2007 and has been airing on Cartoon Network since 2010.
Producing the movie are Chris McKay (animation supervisor on The LEGO Movie and director of upcoming The LEGO Batman Movie) and Roy Lee (already producer on The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie for Warner Bros.). Adventure Time's creator Pendleton Ward will also be involved in the development of the feature film as a writer and producer.

With the right story it can be excellent
ReplyDeleteWhat's good is that the right people are working on it, so I'm pretty optimistic. It should be great.
ReplyDeleteMy only concern is that the show itself is told in short bursts and a longer runtime could affect quality. But like you said the right people are working on it and I'm sure that they can pull it off. I'm still really excited for it :)
