'LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales' Awakens on Disney XD

Disney XD seems to be firing on all cylinders these days. After they announced a DuckTales reboot last week, it was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter that the channel will also launch a new LEGO series based on the Star Wars universe.

The TV show, consisting of five 22-minute episodes, will be a retelling of the six already released Star Wars films (from The Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi) through the eyes of the two main droids in the saga: R2-D2 and C-3PO.
It will aptly be called LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales and The Hollywood Reporter claims that it will air sometime before the release of the upcoming and seventh Star Wars film (The Force Awakens), in December of this year.

It certainly promises to be fun, as you can never go wrong with R2-D2 and C-3PO. And the fact that six features films are being retold in five 22-minute episodes probably means the pace of the series will be quite energetic.

What do you think? Will you watch Droid Tales before you go to your screening of The Force Awakens later this year?
