Watch: A Teaser for Tonko House's 'Moom'


The team behind The Dam Keeper (who was nominated for a Best Animated Short Film Academy Award last year) is back with a new short. This time it's Moom, which is based on a Japanese book by Genki Kawamura and Yuki Mashiko. Former Pixar artists Dice Tsutsumi and Robert Kondo developed the film at Tonko House, their own animation studio; and it looks beautiful. Watch the teaser below.

[UPDATED] Dan Scanlon Will [Not] Helm 'Cars 3'

Update (23/02): it looks like Oh My Disney made a mistake, which has been fixed since we posted the news: Dan Scanlon won't direct Cars 3 after all. Which means we still don't know who is directing a film that's supposed to be released next year. We wouldn't be surprised if the movie gets pushed back.

'Zootopia' Review: Shut Up and Take my Bunny!


Zootopia (also known as Zootropolis in the UK) is the new animated feature film from the Walt Disney Animation Studios. With talking animals… Humm… Disney has pretty much done everything there was to do with animals, right? Obviously not, as proven by this gem, which is not only an hilarious and gorgeous movie, but also - and more surprisingly - one of the deepest and richest animated films in recent history. Lino DiSalvo Will Direct the Playmobil Movie

Variety reports that Lino Di Salvo, head of animation on Disney's Frozen and animation supervisor on Bolt and Tangled, will direct the first Playmobil movie in a proposed trilogy. The movie will be called Playmobil: Robbers, Thieves & Rebels and should be released in 2018.

Pixar Sweeps the Animated Feature Film Categories at the 43rd Annie Awards


The Annie Awards, which celebrates excellence in animation, held its 43rd ceremony last night in Los Angeles. And Pixar won big, going home with all the trophies for the animated feature film categories (except the Award for Best Animated Feature-Independent). Inside Out took ten Awards, with one going to The Good Dinosaur.
Disney Mickey Mouse and Bob's Burgers were the big winners in the TV categories.
