Watch: Impressive "Let It Go" Sing-along on Good Morning America

As if its near-billion dollar worldwide haul and the countless covers of "Let It Go" on YouTube weren't proof enough, here's the latest evidence that Frozen really has made a huge impact on the general public. To celebrate the film's early digital release on (the US version of) iTunes, Good Morning America had a live sing-along across various locales in the States yesterday, with hundreds of people belting out "Let It Go."

Frozen Out Now In the UK! Who's Seeing It This Weekend?

It's actually not been a particularly long wait (especially when compared to the 3 month gap between the US and UK releases of Wreck-It Ralph), but UK Disney fans should be extremely happy to know that Frozen, the studio's acclaimed new hit, is out now!

Frozen Review - Believe the Hype

Not that you would have believed it six months ago, when you couldn't find any decent advertising for the film to save your life, but there is a considerable amount of hype surrounding Frozen right now. The 53rd animated feature from Walt Disney Animation Studios has been called "Disney's best since Beauty and the Beast;” particularly coming off massive successes with Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph - in addition to critically acclaimed, if less financially impressive, films like The Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh - there's a lot of expectation. Surely it can't be that good? Surely it's not all that? It can. And it is. I was extremely privileged to see the first UK screening of the film this morning, and can now tell you, with full confidence, to believe the hype. Frozen is the best Disney Animated film in about 20 years.

Though it doesn't sound like it's the concept art that the press touring Disney last week got to see, some brand new artwork from Disney's upcoming 53rd animated feature film, Frozen, has leaked online!

More Details on Disney's Frozen

Walt Disney Animation Studios announced (via ComingSoon.net earlier today some more details about their 2013 animated release, Frozen. We heard a while back that Frozen was the new title for the Disney adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen, and that it was due on 27th November, 2013 (the date previously scheduled for Bob Peterson's The Good Dinosaur), this latest release though just cites November 2013 - no specific date is mentioned.

The computer-animated "epic tale of adventure and comedy" is directed  by Chris Buck (Tarzan, Surf's Up) and produced by Peter Del Vecho (Winnie the Pooh, The Princess and the Frog). Frozen features the vocal talent of Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) as Anna, "a young dreamer about to take the adventure of a lifetime", and Tony Award winning actress, Idina Menzel (Broadway's Wicked, TV's Glee), as Elsa the, formerly titular, Snow Queen.

Original songs for the film are being created by Broadway's Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (who's working on songs for a stage-adaptation of Pixar's Finding Nemo), and the synopsis for the film reads:

In “Frozen,” a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, so Anna (voice of Bell) must team up with Kristoff, a daring mountain man, on the grandest of journeys to find the Snow Queen (voice of Menzel) and put an end to the icy spell. Encountering Everest-like extremes, mystical creatures and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.

Frozen seems like a more traditional film for Disney - going down the princess and musical route again - and a million miles away from Wreck-It Ralph. That said, it worked phenomenally well for Tangled, and it does look to provide some great range (both with its setting and premise), following the more Pixar-esque Wreck-It Ralph late this year.
