Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary special aired tonight (it was bloody marvellous, wasn't it?), and DreamWorks have capitalised on the longest running sci-fi series' immense popularity to front the first full trailer for their upcoming time-travel flick, Mr. Peabody & Sherman! Check it out below.
We got a briefer trailer for the film last month, and, between that and this, it's looking really rather good. The film certainly has a very fun sense of humour and an intrinsically cartoony heart; director Rob Minkoff (The Lion King, Stuart Little) clearly has a great handle on the source material.
The trailer also showcases a great voice cast, including Modern Family actors Ty Burrell (Peabody) and Ariel Winter (Penny), Max Charles (of The Amazing Spider-Man, as Sherman), Patrick Warburton (Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, The Emperor's New Groove) and Allison Janney (Finding Nemo, Juno). The cast also includes Leslie Mann, Stephen Colbert, Stanley Tucci and Mel Brooks.
Mr. Peabody & Sherman opens on 7th February, 2014 in the UK, and then a month later on 7th March in the US; it'll be preceded by a Gary Trousdale-directed Rocky and Bullwinkle short, featuring the voices of June Foray (Looney Tunes, the original Rocky and Bullwinkle series) and Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants, Winnie the Pooh).
