Photos: Frozen Premiere Ices Over Hollywood

Disney's 53rd animated feature film is well and truly upon us, and hype for Frozen is reaching crescendo levels. With less than a week to go until its theatrical release, Disney held a massive white carpet event world premiere for Frozen this past Tuesday. Check out photos of the filmmakers and cast at the event here!

Disney decked out the Hollywood Boulevard area surrounding the El Capitan theatre with fake snow for the occasion. The voice cast of the film was there in numbers, with Kristen Bell (Anna), Josh Gad (Olaf), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) and Santino Fontana (Hans) there (although Idina Menzel, the voice of Snow Queen Elsa in the film, appears to have been a no-show).

The filmmakers behind the currently-acclaimed fairytale were there too; directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, and producer Peter del Vecho were all on hand. Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios creative chief John Lasseter was also there, in a signature Hawaiian shirt. Celebrities including Demi Lovato, Melissa Joan Hart and Neil Patrick Harris attended the premiere as well, as were Frozen and Book of Mormon songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

Our friends over at The Rotoscopers were there on the white carpet too, interviewing the cast and crew. Head over to their twitter to check out pictures, and keep your eye on Rotoscopers.com (not "The" Rotoscopers anymore. Bye bye, definite article!) for exclusive interviews and their review nearer to the film's release on Wednesday.

Some clever person's also compiled most Frozen reviews together, and they're all pretty damn positive (and look whose review is first!). Check that out here. And, from 18 reviews, the film is sitting pretty on Rotten Tomatoes too, with an impressive 94%!

And here's a brief video of the Frozen event I attended in London's Leicester Square this past weekend too! Jo Whiley, Stacey Solomon, George Sampson, Noel Clarke, some of the cast of Book of Mormon and more attended the event. (It may not have as had as much fake snow, and the celebrities may have been a bit less exciting, but we did get a reindeer.)

Speaking of Frozen, I think Frozen is "a triumph: a musically thrilling, narratively gripping, gleefully enthralling feat of animated excellence. It’s the best Disney film since The Lion King and, yes, it is the best animated film of the year." Check out our full review here.

Frozen opens on 27th November (US)/6th December (UK).
