Warner Bros. Release New Logo for The Lego Movie

Warner Bros. are looking to reclaim their stake in the animation industry, first on the agenda The Lego Movie, due early next year (7th February, 2014 in the US/14th in the UK). As part of a competition aiming to get people invested in the film (/Film has the details), the studio have revealed a cool new logo for the film and the teensiest bit of plot details.

The film, directed by Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, stars the voices of Chris Pratt, Will Arnett, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson and more. The film will apparently feature a scene where "the citizens of the LEGO universe rally to prevent an unspeakable disaster. They do this by quickly disassembling the elements of their environments, brick by brick, and rebuilding them into fantastic and fun hybrid vehicles and tools".

"The 3D computer animated adventure tells the story of Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared."

The film will feature appearances by Lego Batman and others. The Lego Movie certainly seems set to be a heck of a lot of fun - particularly with such talented guys at the helm - and 2014 is looking to be a very good year for animation.
