We've posted before about news of brother-sister act Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch joining The Avengers 2, it now appears that Marvel are looking to cast Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass) as Quicksilver.
This news comes quite soon after Bryan Singer announced Evan Peters (also from Kick-Ass) will play Quicksilver in X-Men Days of Future Past, where the cast list seems to be forever growing, despite the fact the film should be finished production soon.
It's quite clear where Singer's Quicksilver will fit into the X-Men universe, as the character is the child of Magneto, but the inclusion of Quicksilver to The Avengers 2, now that's interesting.
It's also intriguing to see who Marvel will be eyeing up to play Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver's twin sister. Having young-ish actors as the pair would be a good balance with the other Avengers.
Like most things, these are so far only rumours so nothing is confirmed yet. With the way Whedon's mind works, it wouldn't be surprising if as soon as he is done promoting Much Ado About Nothing he will begin The Avengers 2. Go on holiday, Joss! Have a break! Or just make more awesome movies.
