New Poster for Thor: The Dark World

Nadine's out and about tonight, so emailed me this post to get all blogged up:

With the release date fast approaching (3 months for the UK now!), a new poster for Marvel's Thor: The Dark World has risen, with a new trailer due to drop on 7th August.

The new poster is full of characters, taking the usual 'epic' layout with Thor looking heroic in the middle, while Malekith The Accursed (Christopher Eccleston) looks menacing in the background. As well as the hero and villain, Loki (who we're not quite sure will be turning good or remaining evil, played by Tom Hiddleston), Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and the rest of Thor's pals round out the poster.

A sequel to 2011's Thor, The Dark World sees the Asgardian demi-god battling an evil "older than the universe itself" and seeking the help of his mischievous adoptive brother. The film is directed by Games of Thrones' Alan Taylor and co-stars Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins and Kat Dennings.

Thor: The Dark World is hitting UK screens 30th October this year; 8th November in the US.

So basically the exact same poster they made for Iron Man 3 (http://bit.ly/YoXvrh) but with Thor now, haha. Still a cool poster though, and I'm really, really excited to see the film.

Hahaha! Oh my, that is uncanny... Yeah, the film looks good. But next year's when things really start heating up!

Oh yeah. Cap 2 sounds phenomenal! I think that's the one I'm most excited for. And of course as we've mentioned before, animation-wise 2014 is a doozy. Good Dinosaur, BoxTrolls, and HTTYD2 just to name a few. "Dinos and dragons and trolls! Oh my!"
