The first image for Disney's Saving Mr. Banks, starring Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson, has been revealed. Read below to find out more about the film and check out the exciting first look!
Saving Mr. Banks, directed by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side), will retell the journey of the production of the 1967 Disney musical, Mary Poppins. The film focuses particularly on the author of the Mary Poppins books, P. L. Travers, and her hesitation for the film to be made as well as her rocky relationship with Walt Disney.
Travers will be played by Emma Thompson, while Walt Disney will be played by Tom Hanks. Other stars of the film include Colin Farrell, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, BJ Novak, as well as Brit actress Victoria Summer playing the role of Julie Andrews.
Production of Saving Mr. Banks has been quiet so far, but with this bundle of talented cast members and a very interesting look at the famous Walt Disney, the film is bound to be one that everyone will want to keep an eye on.
Saving Mr. Banks has a Christmas release in the US, for December 20th 2013; it hits the UK on 17th January, 2014.

This sounds and looks so awesome! Tom Hanks doesn't look an awful lot like Walt, but he's one of the greatest actors in the world, so I'm sure he's as capable as anyone... I'm still interested in seeing this film though.
