Teaser Poster for DreamWorks' Mr. Peabody & Sherman

While DreamWorks' latest is getting a bit battered at the box office, the studio (now under the 20th Century Fox banner for distribution) sets its sights forward to next year, with a cool new teaser poster for their first film of 2014, Mr. Peabody & Sherman.

Based on the Rocky and Bullwinkle segments Peabody's Improbable History, the film is directed by Lion King co-helmer Rob Minkoff, and stars the voices of Modern Family's fantastic Ty Burrell, and Max Charles (The Amazing Spider-Man). Although the poster touts only an ambiguous "2014", the film is slated for release on 7th March, 2014.

The film's synopsis goes like:

Emmy Award winner Ty Burrell (Modern Family) voices Mr. Peabody, the world’s smartest person who happens to be a dog. When his “pet” boy Sherman, voiced by Max Charles (The Amazing Spider-Man), uses their time traveling WABAC machine without permission, events in history spiral out of control to disastrous and comical results. It’s up to this most unexpected of father-son teams to somehow put things back on track before the space-time continuum is irreparably destroyed.

Very cool poster. Really looking forward to seeing this one, it definitely excites me more than The Croods or Turbo did. I think us moviegoers are getting so pumped looking ahead to the gargantuan 2015 that we're overlooking all the awesome films that are coming in 2014, both animated and live-action! Animation-wise we've got this, The Good Dinosaur, HTTYD2, Big Hero 6 and more, and in the live-action world we have the likes of Captain America 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Muppets Most Wanted....I could go on. Anyway, 2014 is looking great!

You can say that again. 2013 definitely seems like the down-year of animation, between the awesomeness of 2012 and the oh-my-God-I-don't-know-if-I'm-ready-ness of 2014. 2014 is going to be the year of animation in the same way that 2015 is going to be the year of super-anticipated sequels and franchise movies.

Couldn't agree more! But yes, back to the point, nice poster!
