'Inside Out' and 'The Little Prince' Will Premiere at the Cannes Film Festival

The prestigious Festival de Cannes announced its lineup today, and two animated features are in the official selection. They will both be out of competition, so there's no chance to see either of them win a prize, but it's still nice to see animation getting more recognized than it usually is. The two films are Pete Docter's Inside Out and Mark Osborne's The Little Prince.

To celebrate the news, Pixar released an Inside Out clip, where you can see the whole emotion gang preparing for Riley's first day of school.

This will be the second time a Pixar movie premieres at the Cannes Film Festival. The first time was in 2009, and it was already with a Pete Docter film: Up was the first animated film to open the Festival.

Interestingly enough, this will also be a second Cannes premiere for the director of The Little Prince: Mark Osborne helmed Kung Fu Panda for DreamWorks, and the movie debuted at the Festival in 2008.

The 2015 Cannes Film Festival will be held from the 13th to the 24th May.
