Watch: Second Trailer for Mark Osborne's 'The Little Prince'

Following the recent announcement that the film would premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, in the official selection but out of competition, The Little Prince just unveiled a wonderful second trailer. Watch it below.

While the Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda) movie is based on Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's book (Le Petit Prince), this trailer seems to indicate that the focus of the story will actually be the little girl - a character which doesn't exist in the original novel. That part of the film will be CG; the part directly taken from Le Petit Prince will use stop motion animation.

The Little Prince may be a French production (a Onyx Films, Orange Studio and On Entertainment collaboration), inspired by a classic French story with a French premiere; but the voice talent that Mark Osborne assembled is pretty Hollywood-friendly, with Jeff Bridges as the Aviator, James Franco as the Fox, Mackenzie Foy (who played young Murphy in Interstellar) as the little girl and Rachel McAdams as her mother.

The Little Prince is scheduled for a 29th July release in France - opening dates for the UK and US should be known soon.
