Disney Release 5 New Frozen Stills

Hallelujah! It's the day we've all been waiting for: Disney are marketing Frozen! Strangely, admittedly, the studio has taken to weather.com, with the tagline "Feeling hot? Think Frozen." But who cares about the unconventionalness of the advertising, because the Mouse House rolled out five stunning new images from their 53rd animated feature film!

The stills are absolutely stunning and the icy, winter look lends itself to some magnificent visuals. Also, they confirm the speculated character designs that we first saw on the leaked posters all that time ago, and, pun not intended, I've warmed to them.

Swap the reindeer for a horse, the blonde hair for brown and the snow for
a forest, and this could easily be a scene from Tangled. Ah well.

We also get our first real look at the film's prince-type, mountain man Kristoff, riding his snow steed - that is to say, reindeer - Sven. Comic relief snowman Olaf is also in the mix. Comparisons can certainly be drawn between the film's visual aesthetic and that of 2010's Tangled, but it's a good look, and Disney are clearly fond of it. Plus, you just can't argue with the results.

Frozen is directed by Chris Buck (Tarzan) and Jennifer Lee (Wreck-It Ralph) and produced by Peter Del Vecho (Winnie the Pooh). With songs by Robert Lopez and wife Kristen, the score is composed by Paperman's Christophe Beck, the film hits US cinemas on 27th November, and UK ones on 6th December.

It's been worth the wait. The studio will also release the film's first trailer in about 12 hours.

  2. Frozen stills of what? Obviously the stills are frozen because they aren't moving, but what are they stills of?

... I can only assume you're being purposefully flippant?
