French Frozen Stuff: Trailer and Poster

The ice has thoroughly started to thaw on Disney's Frozen, as we're week-by-week getting more and more from the studio's 53rd animated feature film. After revealing a Japanese trailer last week, Disney today revealed roughly the same trailer, but in French, alongside a brand new poster.

The film is going by the much cooler handle La Reine des Neiges in France, which translates to the The Snow Queen, so it's no wonder that the cool (ha, see what I did there?) new poster focuses on the film's apparent villain, the icy monarch herself, Elsa. Aside from the slightly more understandable voice-over, and not looping some of the footage, the trailer's the same: epic, intense, impressive.

Disney have gotten a lot of flack for Frozen, for everything from the character designs of Anna and Elsa to the comic tone struck by the film's teaser, but one thing they haven't got is credit. The studio hasn't made a bad film in years and they're on a major roll right now; Frozen, from the footage in this trailer, looks daring, creative, visually stunning and rather unlike anything else they've got in the Disney canon. It may have taken a while, but I am now thoroughly excited.

Frozen is directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. It hits cinemas in the US on 27th November, France on 4th December, and the UK on 6th.

Every single piece of advertisement for this film is simply gorgeous no matter the language haha. Can't wait for this one!

It's like they heard our whining about the lack of advertising!

Yeah, is like they said: You want advertisement? Here you go! But is not English! You'll have to wait longer for that haha.

Well, there's less fun to be had in advertising you can understand! ;)
